Thank you for all your questions about our dear horse, Chica. Here are some answers to your questions from her new trainer, Inger!

How old do you think Chica is?
It is hard to say, but we guess she is between 12 and 15 years old.

What color are her eyes?
Chica has dark eyes.

How tall is Chica?
She is approximately 64 inches or 16 hands high.
Does she sweat easily when you ride her?
She's the kind of horse that gets easily stressed when you ride her, and therefore gets sweaty.

Does she go outside a lot?
Yes. She stays in her stall at night and has a great time out in the paddock the whole day.

What kind of breed is Chica?
It is hard to say, as we have no "registration papers", but she's probably a mix of P.R.E. (Andalusian), Lusitano and Arabian
Thoroughbred.

Which of the other horses is her favorite?
Though Freddy is a mischievous little Shetland pony, Chica likes him best.

Does Chica like cats and dogs?
Yes. There are three very cute, sweet-tempered dogs and several cats at El Rancho and she thinks they are all okay!

What color is Chica? Is she just gray?
She is gray and has some brown hair in her coat - we call it "flea-bitten" which is typical of the Andalusian breed.

Is Chica easy to load in a trailer and transport?
Yes, very easy. She is very comfortable in a trailer. Probably because the first time we met her and took her away in one, she was thrilled to go with us!

Do you have to be an experienced rider to ride her?
Yes, she is a horse that needs a very experienced rider. She is a sweet, but very special horse...
